How does a tile insert grate work?

The grate has a recessed tray that your tiler fills with a cut-down piece of the floor tile. Water drains around the tile's edges into the channel beneath, leaving only a thin frame visible.

What length channel grate do I need?

Shower channels commonly run from around 600mm up to full wall-to-wall lengths. The length and outlet position must suit your floor's fall and plumbing, so confirm with your plumber before ordering.

Are tile insert grates hard to clean?
