The Caroma Urbane II Inset Basin No Tap Landing drops straight into your benchtop, so you keep the storage room of an under-bench basin with the look of an above-counter piece. It's made from highly durable fine fire clay, finished in white gloss that's smooth and stain resistant. The thin-rim profile keeps the edge neat. At 500mm with no tap landing, it's built to pair with a separate wall or bench-mounted mixer. An integrated ceramic pop-up plug and waste comes included, and it sits flush with the basin when open, so there's nothing sticking up to catch a stray elbow.

The inset basin is the sensible default of Australian bathrooms: it drops into a benchtop cutout, its rim seals neatly to the surface, and replacement decades later is as simple as matching the cutout. Tradelink's inset range comes from Caroma and ADP, in round, rectangular and semi-inset formats.

Replacing an existing inset basin, measure the cutout, not the basin, and choose a model whose cutout requirement matches or slightly exceeds it. Semi-inset styles, which project forward off a slimmer bench, are the space-saving cousin worth knowing about for shallow vanities.

How do I measure for a replacement inset basin?

Measure the existing benchtop cutout, length and width, and compare against each basin's stated cutout requirement. Matching or slightly exceeding it avoids benchtop repairs.

What's a semi-inset basin?

A basin that sits partly in the bench and projects forward over its edge, so it delivers a full-size bowl on a shallower vanity. It's the trick for tight bathrooms that still want bench space.

Do inset basins come with tap holes?

Many offer one or three tap hole options, and some have none for wall-mounted taps. Match the tap hole configuration to your tapware before ordering both.
