Stainless steel showers for coastal and hard working bathrooms

Stainless steel runs through everything from a single rose to a full twin shower. Raymor, specified and backed by Tradelink, leads with Lavas and Sigma shower roses and Care shower rail sets in brushed or polished stainless steel. Phoenix adds the Vivid Slimline 316 twin shower, rail shower, hand shower and arm with 250mm rose, and Caroma supplies Titan wall and ceiling arms.

Stainless steel sits comfortably beside chrome and brushed nickel, and 316 grade is commonly chosen near the coast or a pool. A new rose usually screws onto the arm you already have, while a rail or twin shower should be checked against your wall outlet height. Have your plumber fit it, and wipe it with fresh water occasionally in salty air.

What does 316 stainless steel mean?

It is a grade of stainless steel with added corrosion resistance, commonly chosen for coastal homes and pool areas. The Phoenix Vivid Slimline 316 showers available at Tradelink are made from it.

Does stainless steel match chrome or brushed nickel tapware?

Brushed stainless sits comfortably beside both, a little softer than chrome and brighter than brushed nickel. Polished stainless is the closer match for chrome.

Can I replace just the shower rose with a stainless steel one?

Usually, yes. Roses and arms use standard threads, so a new rose generally fits the existing arm; check with your plumber if the arm or wall outlet is corroded.
