Thermogroup Econoboard Uncoated Thermal Insulation Boards 10mm - 10 pack (7.2sqm)

Heating your floor is one thing. Heating the concrete under it is another. The Thermogroup Econoboard Uncoated Thermal Insulation Boards 10mm come as a 10 pack covering 7.2sqm, and they sit beneath your underfloor heating to stop heat escaping downward. Heat spreads in every direction until it meets resistance. Without an insulation layer, a good portion of it warms the substrate instead of your floor. These boards keep that heat where you want it. Insulation is optional, but it pays for itself over time by cutting the running costs of your underfloor heating. The boards are fully moisture resistant and rot proof, with an R Value (m²k/w) of 0.3. They're backed by a warranty against material defect for the lifetime warranty of the original floor covering under which they're installed.

• Improves underfloor heating efficiency by up to 50% by preventing downward heat loss and reducing heat up times, so your floor warms faster and costs less to run
• R Value (m²k/w) 0.3 for effective thermal resistance under the heating
• 100% moisture resistance and rot proof, which makes them well suited to bathroom and wet-area floors
• Ensures minimal heat loss into the substrate, keeping the warmth at surface level
• Cut with regular hand tools, so there's no specialist gear to hire and no excuse to put the job off
• Uncoated boards can be glued to a concrete substrate using flexible tile glue for a secure fit
• Covered by a warranty against material defect for the lifetime warranty of the original floor covering under which they're installed, giving you long-term peace of mind

Allow enough insulation board to cover your entire floor area. Note that Uncoated Econoboard is not recommended where a waterproofing layer will be applied directly over the insulation: use the Coated Econoboard for that, or check with your installer.
