Framed, frameless or backlit rectangular mirrors above a vanity

The rectangular mirror is the dependable default above a vanity: it mirrors the bench's own lines, covers the most useful reflection area for its size, and comes in more widths than any other shape. Tradelink's rectangular mirrors span framed, frameless and backlit designs from Marquis, Timberline and Thermogroup.

Sizing stays simple: match the vanity width or run slightly narrower, and hang the centre at eye level. Framed models bring warmth to classic rooms; frameless and backlit designs keep contemporary bathrooms clean-lined.

What size rectangular mirror should I choose?

Match your vanity's width or go up to 100mm narrower. Over a 1200mm vanity, a 1000mm to 1200mm mirror looks balanced; twin mirrors also work over double basins.

Framed or frameless rectangular mirror?

Framed suits classic and warm-toned rooms and hides edge wear; frameless keeps contemporary rooms minimal. Backlit versions add lighting to either look.

How high should a bathroom mirror hang?

Centre the mirror at average eye level for the household, typically with the bottom edge a little above the tapware's reach so splashes miss the glass.

Can rectangular mirrors be hung horizontally or vertically?

Most can be hung either way; check the fixing points in the product specs. Horizontal suits wide vanities, vertical suits tall walls and pedestal basins.
