Once you've rinsed a sink, filled a stockpot on the bench and washed a baking tray with a pull-out spray, an ordinary fixed tap feels like a step backwards. Tradelink's pull out sink mixer range covers pull-out and pull-down spray models from Raymor, Nero, Phoenix and Oliveri, plus Peppy Taps pull out boiling and chilled water models, in all current finishes.

Quality matters more in a pull-out than any other tap: the hose and spray head move every day, so established brands with proper warranties and available spare parts are the smart buy. Most models fit the standard single tap hole, making this a straightforward swap for your plumber.

What's the difference between pull-out and pull-down mixers?

A pull-down spout arcs high and the head pulls straight down, suiting deep sinks and pot filling. A pull-out head comes toward you on a hose, handy for rinsing the sink and filling containers on the bench. Both retract when released & both are often referred to as the same thing.

Do pull-out hoses wear out?

On quality mixers the hose is engineered for years of daily use and replacements are available as spare parts. This is the category where cheap unbranded taps disappoint fastest, so brand support matters.

Will a pull-out mixer fit under my window?

Check the spout height in the specifications against your windowsill. Plenty of low-profile pull-out models exist for under-window sinks; the pull-out function actually compensates for the lower clearance.

Do I need special plumbing for a pull-out mixer?

No, they connect like a standard sink mixer on a single tap hole. Leave clear space under the sink for the hose to travel, and keep the supplied hose weight fitted so the head retracts properly.
