The Nero Round Shower Arm 330m Length Brushed Gold does the simple job well: it holds your shower head and connects it back to your existing plumbing. It's solid brass, shaped into a smooth gooseneck curve, so it'll take years of daily use without complaint. The universal thread fits nearly all standard plumbing fittings and shower heads, which makes this a straightforward replacement rather than a project. Brushed gold brings a warm, understated look to the wall, and it won't date on you in a hurry.
